How should I take care of my eyes the night after laser eye surgery?
Straight after surgery, you want to go home to relax and take it easy. You could watch a bit of television, look at a phone for a bit. I wouldn’t advise too much of that because your eyes can get a little bit dry.
That evening, probably four or five hours after the actual treatment’s taken place, you should start to feel pretty comfortable, and your vision should have improved a fair bit.
You’re welcome to have a glass of wine in the evening. Don’t go mad, and just be mindful of your eyes. You just don’t want to knock your eyes.
I would avoid taking a shower that night. You should avoid water from getting in your eyes. When you go to bed at night, you’ll need to put shields over your eyes to make sure you don’t knock them incidentally while you’re asleep.
