Why ELS?
Located on Melbourne’s Armadale High Street, our clinic sits among local galleries, cafes and boutiques. The space is designed to provide a calm and professional setting for consultations and treatment.
Clinical experience plays an important role in treatment planning, with a strong focus on safety and risk management. Our team has extensive experience supporting patients undergoing vision correction, and we review post-operative data to help inform ongoing clinical practice.
We are recognised as an International Centre of Excellence and Training in SMILE® and PRESBYOND® Laser Eye Surgery. Other ophthalmologists visit us for clinical education, and members of our team contribute to conferences locally and overseas.
With multiple established procedures available, recommendations are guided by detailed clinical assessment and what’s most suitable for your eyes and long-term vision.
While laser eye surgery can help reduce dependence on glasses or contact lenses for many people, it’s important to have realistic expectations. At your initial consult, we discuss your goals and explain the outcomes that may be expected based on your assessment. We’ll explain all potential risks and side effects. And we’ll be upfront if we find that laser eye surgery isn’t right for you.
Our commitment to you is to provide continuing post-surgery care. After your procedure, you’ll be provided with an after-hours phone number to contact your surgeon if necessary. In some cases, over- and under-correction may occur, and a top-up procedure may be required. If an enhancement is clinically indicated within 5 years of SMILE®, LASIK or PRK surgery, this may be provided at no additional surgical cost.
The same commitment we make to our patients, we make to our planet. We’re proud to operate using 100% solar power. And we’re working to increase our sustainable initiatives, to help shape a brighter future for all.
Our laser eye surgeons manage many kinds of eye conditions, not just vision problems. But at our Armadale eye clinic, they focus fully on vision correction, taking a precise, evidence-based approach to every treatment they perform.
