What happens after your laser eye surgery?

Straight after laser surgery, you’re feeling relieved that it’s all over, even though the actual procedure is completely painless. We take you through, and we let you sit down for a few minutes and relax. Then we’re going to have a look at your eyes, examine you and make sure your eye looks in good shape. Then we will explain your drops to you, which you’ll be taking home and using that evening. Finally, we get you to come back the next day.

The majority of people see better straight after surgery than they previously saw without their glasses on, but not quite as good as with their glasses. Over the next four to five hours, their vision improves.
